The NDC parliamentary candidate for Essikadu Ketan Constituency Professor Dr. Grace Ayensu-Danquah, has promised to protect her constituents’ votes in the December 7 2024 general elections.

At the launch of her campaign in Essikado Ketan Constituency in the Western Region, Dr Ayensu-Danquah emphasized her commitment to safeguarding the voting rights of her constituents.

She assured her supporters that their voices will be heard.

Dr. Ayensu Danquah’s determination stems from her experience in the 2020 parliamentary elections, where she believes she was unfairly denied victory. She emphasized that despite the constituency’s consistent support for the NPP, it remains underdeveloped.

“In the 2020 elections, you entrusted me with the responsibility to represent you in Parliament and drive development and good governance to improve your lives. I heard your cries for change, but unfortunately, I wasn’t able to fulfill that mandate. I thank you for believing in me and trusting me to bring about positive change. I’m committed to making a difference in our constituency when given the opportunity to lead,” she assured.

Dr. Ayensu Danquah appealed to her constituents to rally behind her and John Mahama, promising to bring the development they deserve. Notably, she claimed to have done more for the constituency than the current NPP government and MP Joe Ghartey.

“This is a pivotal moment for me to make a positive impact on our constituency. If given the opportunity to lead, I’m committed to bringing tangible infrastructure development to our community. Having been part of this community for so long, I understand the major challenges we face, and I have solutions to address them. If I don’t serve you to the best of my abilities, who will?” She asked.

Dr. Ayensu-Danquah’s dedication to her constituency is evident in her previous efforts, including initiating developmental projects such as:

• Kansaworodo Clinic: Providing essential healthcare services to the community
• Mechanized borehole: Ensuring access to clean water for the Essikado community
• Free eye screening and surgical operations: Improving healthcare outcomes for constituents

Her supporters believe she has the potential to wrestle the seat from the NPP and bring about much-needed development to the constituency.

They praise her selflessness, leadership style, and numerous developmental projects initiated and executed even before she declared her candidacy.

“We need someone who genuinely cares about Essikado’s progress and is dedicated to its constituents. Dr. Grace embodies these qualities”.

“We’re calling for change because, despite Joe Ghartey’s 20-year tenure as MP under the NPP, our constituency lacks tangible developmental projects. In contrast, Dr. Grace’s bold initiatives, even as a non-incumbent MP, have been overwhelming” one of them stated.
