The Chief of Sekyere Nsuta, Nana Asamoah Gyamfi, has commended government for the construction works on the Nsuta-Kwamang road.

Nana Gyamfi made the commendation when the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia stopped over in the town on his ‘Thank You Tour’ of the Ashanti Region on March 25.

“I commend the Mahama-led government for work done so far. Nsuta-Kwamang road is being constructed and we are very happy. We are grateful,” he said in Twi.

According to him, although they acknowledge the reduction in the general cost of living in the country, his people have a peculiar challenge.

“We have challenges, but we know that you honour your promises. So, if we share them with you, you will resolve them. When you were seeking power, you came here and promised the people of Sekyere Central good roads. We wish to remind you about the Nsuta and Sekyere Central roads. We want you to give this urgent attention,” he stated.

Nana Gyamfi lamented that because of the poor state of the roads, their farm produce get stock in the farm.

“It gets worse when it rains. The farmers are unable to bring them here. They send them to Ejura. We have hope that the NDC government will do this for us,” the Chief said.

Mr Asiedu Nketia’s ‘Thank You Tour’ of the Ashanti Region which started on March 25, is expected to end on March 27.
