President Akufo-Addo has said those who have threatened to vote for the National Democratic Congress for not getting their deserved development is not his problem.

On the day two of his Ashanti Region tour, the President said on a Kumasi-based Otec FM that he is not moved by threats of voting against the New Patriotic Party for non development when told of Kwabre East constituents’ threats of voting out the NPP for their poor roads.

The President, who is serving his second term and wouldn’t be contesting again said “No problem. People make those kind of threats me they don’t frighten me. Somebody votes for you, somebody supports you because they want you to do things for them and so I understand that.

“There is no need for people to know that if I don’t do it, they’ll also do this or that. That is up to them. Of course I’ll do it but if it happens that during the election you’ll vote for the NDC, that is up to you.

“Nobody will hold your hand to thumbprint. That’s your own job. I understand the responsibility and we’ll deal with it.”
