The flag bearer of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Nana Frimpomaa-Sarpong Kumankoma has urged Ghanaians to vote for the CPP come December.

She says there is something vital missing from Ghana’s democracy after Nkrumah gained independence for the country with the CPP. That, she says, is what she brings on board.

Speaking on Hot Issues on TV3 Sunday, October 06, 2024, the CPP flag bearer noted that, leadership, especially in the Fourth Republic, has been bereft of the human touch element which is what she and the CPP bring to fore.

She explained that the numerous policies deployed by various governments lack the human-centredness which has defaced Ghana’s democracy.

Responding to the question on why Ghanaians should should the CPP over other political parties, she said it is “because they’ve gotten to the point in time where they need a different kind of element. We have the people with their brains already, we have people that know what to do, but there’s something missing for 32 years.”

“The Ghanaian has reached a point where, and that missing element for me is what I bring to the table, –the human touch, the care for people, the concern about how the development agenda of the human being… –for the CPP, the entire party was built on that principle.

“Putting the welfare of human beings at the center of every policy. It is for that reason that we insisted on independence now. That God created man to live in an environment to be free and develop to your fullest,” she explained.
