Justin Kodua Frimpong, General Secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), has said he will not be surprised to see their political opponents imitating the contents in their manifesto.
He said it is the reason the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) waited for them to launch theirs first so they can copy.
According to him, they have always been pacesetters in shaping the political landscape of the country, with their launch of the manifesto this year being an example.
Speaking at the launch of the party’s Manifesto at the Ghana Secondary Technical School (GSTS) in Takoradi Sunday, August 18, 2024, the NPP General Secretary stated that the party’s Manifesto is second to none.
“We are once again setting the pace as a political party to launch her manifesto for the 2024 elections. I am not surprised at all…I will not be surprised that people will be copying our manifesto because they are waiting for us the good ones to start,” he stated.
He espoused the competences of the Vice President, saying he will be a great leader if elected to become President in 2025.
Mr. Kodua reiterated the chorus that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, unlike John Dramani Mahama, will come back and account to the people for another term of office after his first tenure.
“I trust Dr. Bawumia and I know he will be a great President for us…Certainly, Dr. Bawumia is an exceptional leader. With Dr. Bawumia, Ghanaians will have the chance to evaluate his administration after four years and decided to whether renew his mandate or not therefore Ghanaians can hold him accountable to this manifesto,” said the former boss of the Youth Employment Agency.
