In a citation read at the ceremony, the organisers commended ICU-Ghana for its “exceptional leadership, innovation, partnership and enduring commitment to advancing Ghana’s development.”

The citation further acknowledged the Union’s efforts in inspiring resilience among workers, supporting socio-economic recovery and contributing to sustained national progress.

Reacting to the honour, Mr. Ayawine expressed gratitude to the organisers and described the recognition as a testament to the collective efforts of the Union’s leadership and membership.

“We are deeply humbled by this recognition and express our sincere appreciation to the organisers of the award for this honour,” he said.

According to him, the award would serve as motivation for the Union to intensify its work in advocating for the welfare of workers while supporting the growth of business and industry.

“This award serves as both an inspiration and a springboard, propelling the Union to greater heights in its advocacy for labour, business and industry,” Mr. Ayawine stated.

He dedicated the recognition to the Management, staff and entire membership of ICU-Ghana, as well as Ghanaian workers whose efforts continue to contribute to national development.

The Union remains one of the country’s leading labour organisations, championing workers’ rights and promoting harmonious relations between labour and industry as part of Ghana’s broader development agenda.
