Director of Communications for the Bawumia Campaign Team, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, says the New Patriotic Party remains strong despite its challenges following the 2024 elections, insisting the party is undergoing a rebuilding and healing process.

Speaking on the KeyPoints with Alfred Ocansey, Mr. Aboagye dismissed claims that the NPP is collapsing following the 2024 elections, saying political parties naturally go through difficult phases after losing power.

“We have accepted our fate and we are going through our healing process. We have rebuilt before and we will rebuild again,” he noted on May 23.

He further argued that no political party in Ghana’s Fourth Republic has experienced more internal fractures than the National Democratic Congress.

“No political party in Ghana since 1992 has suffered fractures and disintegration more than the NDC,” he claimed.

Referencing historical divisions within the NDC, he cited the formation of breakaway groups and disagreements among party figures as evidence that the opposition party has also faced internal instability over the years.

“If the NDC did not die after all those fractures, then the NPP will not die,” he said.

Mr. Aboagye also urged members of the NDC to focus on resolving their own internal tensions rather than criticising the NPP.

“Allow every party to go through its phase. Political parties go through dynamism. You rebuild and come back,” he added.

He maintained that the NPP remains focused on reorganising its structures and preparing for the future.
