President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been told to play his part in ensuring the 1992 Constitution is respected as expected from individuals and other institutions across the country.

The President, during his engagement with the Military some few months ago admonished them to support him to steer the nation out of the challenges it was going through with loyalty.

According them with accolades as “excellent patriots, excellent ambassadors of the security agencies and excellent citizens of our country”, Akufo-Addo said he was proud to serve as their Commander in Chief, telling them to honour the 1992 Constitution at Idris Barracks in Kumasi.

“I want to encourage you to continue the good work that you’re doing for our country. I encourage you to stand firm in your loyalty to the Republic, your loyalty to the Constitution of our nation so that the orderly, peaceful development of our country which is the only way that can guarantee the future prosperity we are all working for can come about…. So that these [present] generations of Ghanaians will leave as our legacy, that even when things were difficult in Ghana, we all held together under our Republican institutions and our constitution to find a way to a better future for our nation. I am confident that we can do it and I am counting on you to help me do it,” President Akufo-Addo had relayed.

Speaking during the Special Edition of Onua TV’s Maakye Friday, December 23, 2022, Godwin Kweku Tetteh, the Producer of the show who stood in the shoes of host, Captain Smart told the President to fulfill his part to make his admonition a reality.

He was speaking about the poor state of roads in Sunyani and its environs which the government has turned a blind eye on.
