Flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia says he will make Ghana a medical health tourist center if he wins power.

Addressing chiefs, clergy, Muslim clerics at Sekyere Kumawu in the Ashanti region Sunday, November 17, 2024, the he said the initiative will make Ghana an enviable nation among its peers.

“Ghana with our Agenda 111, we will set up a medical tourist destination in the sub region. We will get first class machinery people will come to this country for our medical tourism,” he stated.

He also assured them that their request for a nursing training has been approved and would be built for them.

“Nana, what you are also concerned about is nursing training college, the most happy issue now is that the nursing training college has been approved,” Bawumia stated.

He told the residents to vote for him instead of Mahama since he said the NDC flag bearer will not be accountable to them.

“For former President Mahama, he didn’t do anything for the people of Kumawu. When you vote for him, he is going he will not come here again, he will not come and account. As for me, when you vote for me, I can be a President for eight years and after four years, I will come here and account, he stated.

“We are coming to put up a nursing training college for you, we are coming to fix your roads for you and we are coming to give you a municipality status. When I come, I will render account on all of the things to show you the work we have done and so give the steer to me,” he added.

The paramount chief of Sekyere Kumawu, Barima Asumadu Sakyi, on his part, lauded the government for its remarkable development in the area.

He also recalled the government’s investment in improving health care in the country including Sekyere Kumawu and also lauded the free SHS programme.

“Free SHS programme is a beautiful and a nice one, when we don’t get the kids to send them, if you request for a child to send you are told the child has gone to school and the payment of the fees have also reduced.

“Now if they will go, small provisions and we get them some small amount and they use it to buy the provisions so it has reduced the burden on us,” claimed the chief.
