Black Stars and West Ham United midfielder Mohammed Kudus says he will continue to play the way he does and be himself on and off the pitch.
According to him, players have different qualities and he will stay true to his qualities anytime.
“We are all different, and we all have our impact in the world, so there’s not a single day I’ll ever change my style of play for any coach, anybody or whatsoever,” Kudus declared in interview on anti-racism for the Premier League.
“I think me expressing myself on the pitch, playing how I play, is just who I am, and that will never change.
“At the end of the day, me the boy from Nima living his dream, and maybe people can find inspiration through that by being myself.”
He was concerned most African players are not cherished for qualities other than their physique and strength.
Kudus launched his English Premier League career under Everton manager David Moyes while he was at West Ham United.
But his replacement Julen Lopetegui, who has since been sacked, criticised the Ghanaian midfielder for his style of play.
He substituted Kudus at half time in a Premier League game in September, adducing that he wanted his charges to play like a team and the Ghanaian was not giving him that.
