Black Stars forward Jordan Ayew has been coy about his future with Leicester City despite indicating that he is happy with the Foxes.

He said he will soon take a decision on his future but for now he is happy at King Power Stadium.

“I have one more year on my contract,” he told MG Sports during the recent Unity Cup competition in the UK.

“I need to go on holiday now and see what’s going to happen. When you get to a certain level, you can’t decide too early because staying is an option and leaving is an option.

“But I’m happy there (Leicester). I just want to play football and enjoy myself because that’s the only thing that makes me happy.”

Leicester were relegated back to the Championship after garnering a total of 25 points from 38 games in the 2024/25 English Premier League.

They finished 18th after only six wins in the campaign.

Jordan says his motivation has always been to get playing time and that was not guaranteed at Crystal Palace, pushing him out.

“As a player, when you’re playing and you feel like you’ve given everything for the club, and maybe you realize the club is in a good position and it’s a safe place, and you want to go out during the time, you have to make a decision: either you stay or leave.

“Because I’m competitive, I need to play, that’s why I decided to leave Crystal Palace.”
