Award-winning Nigerian music star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed that he has turned over a new leaf, saying he has no intention of cheating again.
Speaking during an interview on ‘The Breakfast Club’ posted on YouTube on Tuesday, April 8 the ‘Timeless’ hitmaker reflected on his past experiences and numerous scandals involving women, stating that these experiences have shaped his resolve to change.
“My uncle that’s a governor has two wives. Another of my uncles: all his wives lived with him, and they played with each other. But upon all the money, there’s still wahala. I’d rather go and live with how my other guys are living. Maybe because I’ve had bad experiences. Sometimes experience is the best teacher,” Davido said.
“I’m not cheating again. I don’t want wahala. I don’t want any wahala. I have five kids with four women.”
He explained how his decision to adopt a more stable and faithful lifestyle was motivated by seeing the struggles of his uncles, who have polygamous families.
Among the most publicised relationship scandal were those of his alleged French lover, Ivana Bay and U.S.-based model and socialite Anita Brown which made headlines in social media in June 2023. Both women alleged that Davido impregnated them and pressured them to terminate the pregnancies.
The ‘Unavailable’ singer has now declared to say goodbye to infidelity and expressed his delight at the harmonious relationship between his wife and his children, noting, ‘There was a time I was even afraid to bring my other children around.’
