The Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has left Ghana after his two-day state visit.

The Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang bid farewell to him at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Ghana on Wednesday for a two-day state visit and was received by President Mahama.

He was later conferred with the Officer of the Order of the Star of Ghana, the country’s highest civilian honour, by President John Mahama on Wednesday.

On Thursday, he met with the Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang where the two visited the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum.

The Prime Minister was shown around the facility and was also briefed about the history of the mausoleum and other important facts about the monument.

The two then proceeded to Parliament House where the Prime Minister addressed members of the house.

From Parliament, he proceeded to the Kotoka Airport where, Narendra Modi expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality and fruitful discussions during the two-day visit.

The Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang thanked the Prime Minister for his visit and looked forward to continued cooperation between the two countries.
