The Public Relations Officer of Burniton Music Group, Vida Adutwumwaa, has said it would be in King Promise’s interest to respond to Stonebwoy’s congratulatory message after winning the Artiste of the Year.
The Dancehall artiste was a strong contender of the award but lost to King Promise at the 26th TGMA after previously winning it ahead of the ‘Terminator’ hitmaker.
After King Promise won his debut Artiste of the Year award at the 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards on May 10, Stonebwoy in a tweet on May 11, 2025 congratulated King Promise.
In his message, he welcomed the ‘Paris’ hitmaker to what he called “the league of winners.”
However, King Promise as of the publication of this article has not responded to the congratulatory message from Stonebwoy.
In an interview on Hitz FM, May 13, 2025 King Promise was asked whether he has seen the congratulatory message from Stonebwoy but he responded saying he does not think it is a big deal to respond to the message from Stonebwoy.
“I have received the congrats, I don’t want to talk about it. I don’t really think it’s like anything to speak about,” he said.
“I’ve been told of it, I have actually. This morning, I have not been on X. I don’t think it is a big deal. I have responded to a few, the ones I saw when I went on the app, I responded to everyone,” he added.
Responding to the comments by King Promise on the ‘Street is Watching’ podcast posted on YouTube on May 14, 2025 , Vida Adutwumwaa said Stonewboy’s team has no expectation for a response to the congratulatory message by King Promise.
She claimed that a response to the tweet will rather be of benefit to King Promise.
“You won the award and if somebody has congratulated you and still you have not gone online to respond, we have nothing to say.
“The expectation for him to respond will be difficult. It will help him rather if he responds. For us we have extended our hand; whether he responds or not it is his discretion. It is not really any big deal,” she stated.
