Mahama made this announcement during his victory address to the nation after being declared the winner.

In his speech, the president-elect disclosed receiving a congratulatory call from outgoing President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

“I received a call from Nana Addo, the President. He graciously extended his congratulations, and we had the opportunity to discuss the joint transitional team, which will begin its work as early as Wednesday, December 11,” Mahama shared.

Expressing his readiness for the process ahead, Mahama assured Ghanaians of his commitment to a smooth transition and collaboration with the outgoing administration. “I send my regards and readiness to work,” he affirmed.

The president-elect struck an optimistic tone, emphasizing the potential for progress and unity in the coming years.

“Our best days are ahead of us,” he stated, calling on citizens to remain hopeful and committed to the collective vision of a better Ghana.
