Black Stars striker Jordan Ayew opened his scoring account with Leicester City on Tuesday, August 27 when the Foxes played Tranmere Rovers in the EFL Cup.
It was the first start for the Ghanaian after making the move from Crystal Palace last Friday.
He came on as a substitute in the 2-1 loss to Fulham in the English Premier League over the weekend.
But on Tuesday when he played his first game at the King Power Stadium in front of Leicester City home fans, the former Aston Villa player broke the deadlock with a 20-yard half-volley.
It was the first goal for Leicester City in the game as they went on to win 4-0 to qualify to the next stage.
The Foxes next game will be against Aston Villa on Saturday, August 31.
