A National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) officer has been robbed of his Toyota Corolla with registration number GX 1621-20, mobile phones and two television sets.
The incident at Crispo City, a suburb of Kasoa in the Awutu Senya East Municipality of the Central Region occurred around 2:30am Thursday, August 22, 2024.
The officer, according to reports, was tied with his wife and robbed at gunpoint.
Police say the couple were asleep when three robbers broke into their home with guns and cutlasses to rob them.
After tying them and demanded for his car keys and taking the mobile phonesa and television sets, the robbers also for the MoMo pin of the officer according to sources.
After several attempts to extort money from them failed, the robbers sealed their lips with a solution tape and fled.
The officer says his wife and children are traumatised over the incident.
