Ghana Premier League giants Kumasi Asante Kotoko are set to lock horns with Premier Soccer League side Kaizer Chiefs in this year’s Toyoto Cup to be held in Durban, South Africa.

The Porcupine Warriors confirmed participation in a statement on Thursday, June 26.

The cup match is set for the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Monday, July 28.

“This game is an important step in strengthening the long-standing relationship between two of the continent’s biggest clubs, and also forms part of our preparations for the upcoming CAF Confederation Cup against a team who will also be participating in the same competition.

“It will give our team valuable international experience as we build towards a strong campaign in Africa,” Asanate Kotoko said in the statement.

The Toyota Cup 2025 was launched earlier on Thursday in the Kaizer Chiefs Village.

The Porcupine Warriors are expected to embark on fan engagement activities ahead of the game.
