President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku has resigned as the President of the West African Football Union (WAFU) Zone B. 

This follows his election as a member of the Executive Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the subsequent appointment as the Second Vice President of the body.

Executives of WAFU B met in Abidjan, La Côte d’Ivoire on Monday, May 19 to elect their new leader.

The President of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), Ibrahim Musa Gusau, got the nod as he was elected the new President.

He will serve as the Acting President for the Union.

His first major assignment will be overseeing next month’s U-20 AFCON qualifying championship scheduled to take place in Ghana.
