Legal practitioner Maurice Ampaw has declared his intention to personally sue celebrity couple Medikal and Fella Makafui if either party publicly discloses any private details about their marriage again.
In the stern warning, Ampaw emphasised the significant influence Medikal and Fella Makafui have on the younger generation and hence “cannot subject their young audience to strong marital content, which can adversely impact their young lives.”
In an interview with the host of Yen Nsempa Nana Yaa Brefo, co-hosted by Isaac Ekow JB, Ampaw said, “If they release any arsenal about their marriage, I’ll take them to court. For these two, I’ll change the dynamics.
“They are two mature adults who chose to get married and they keep releasing information that defiles our children. These matters are supposed to be confidential, away from our young children who are not married yet. They can’t be allowed to be exposed to such content.”
In a related development, Ampaw criticized Fella Makafui’s response to Medikal’s previous actions, where he made a video on his social media page exposing private aspects of their marriage.
According to Ampaw, Fella Makafui should have immediately sued Medikal for breach of confidence
“Fella’s management and team lack legal advice. The best course of action would have been to drag him to court and sue him for breach of confidence as soon as Medikal started talking,” Ampaw advised. “With an added injunction to restrain him from talking about their marriage.”
The lawyer however stated that every relationship has its issues and related consequences if not managed well and has advised both parties to be cautious ahead of whatever next course of action they decide to take.
