The lead producer of the Ghanakoma morning show on Akoma 87.9FM in Kumasi, Nana Akohene Mensah, has won the Excellence Award for the first quarter of the year 2025 instituted by the station this year.

This award scheme is to express Management’s gratitude for employees’ hard work, dedication and contributions to the organisation as well as to motivate and encourage all staff.

He received a citation from the Management of the station.

The maiden edition of the Akoma FM Excellence award shortlisted four staff members and Nana Akohene Mensah emerged as the winner.

They include Beatrice Spio-Garbrah( hostess of Akomamusem), Nana Akohene Mensah (Lead producer of Ghanakoma morning show), Nana Billa Kankanta (Lead Producer Akomamusem) and Anita Oppong (Client Service).

The Head of the Station, Ransford Nana Osei Asare, congratulated him for contributing immensely towards the growth of the business.

He said the award was instituted to recognize the tireless contributions, dedication and commitment of staff, which had sustained the station since it’s establishment.

Your tireless efforts have made a significant impact on our team’s success, and we are grateful for your contributions. As a Lead Morning Show Producer, you have successfully coordinated all your team members and ensured Ghanakoma runs smoothly each passing week. Not only that, you have also strategically positioned Abibinsroma and Akoma Highlife Mmre, attracting royal listeners and Management is proud of you. You work every day within the week without complaints and always ready to sit in for others, great hall mark of a team player. Congratulations for winning the Akoma 87.9FM Employer Excellence Award of the first quarter of 2025,” the citation read.

Nana Akohene Mensah was grateful to Management and staff of the station for recognising his efforts. He reiterated his commitment to serve the station well to achieve the desired results.

He also commended his team for supporting him in all aspects over the years.
