Legon Cities FC have been officially relegated from the Ghana Premier League following a 1-4 loss to Nations FC.

With three matches remaining, the Accra-based side have their fate cut out.

They join Nsoatreman FC as the teams to be relegated from the 2024/25 League.

In a Matchday 31 game at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, the Abrankese-based side made their intentions clear after Kelvin Ampoful scored from a perfect run by Emmanuel Annor.

Though this lead was cancelled before the break, Annor got his name on the scoring sheet as he beat his markers to put the ball beyond goalkeeper Joseph Kumah.

Sadiq Alhassan made it 3-1 before Ampoful made it 4-1.

While sending Nations FC to the summit of the table, the result relegates Legon Cities to Division One.

They will, however, play Aduana FC, Hearts of Oak and Dreams FC to wrap up a disappointing season.
