Prophet Angel Asiamah, husband of Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, a former traditional priestess turned evangelist, has said the challenges his wife is facing will turn out to be a testimony.
According to him, he has faith in God that whatever his wife is going through is preparation for greater things to come in her life.
He notes that any person of repute who goes to prison often comes back a greater person.
Speaking during a July 6, 2025 Sunday service, just three days after his wife was jailed, Prophet Asiamah cited the biblical story of Joseph, who was taken out of prison to become a prime minister.

Asiamah indicated that many people don’t know the details of his wife’s sentencing but are celebrating her conviction, a situation he believes will change if they understood the reality.
“If you’re positive about this, may the Lord bless you,” he said. “I’ve already encouraged myself. There are people who don’t know about this issue but are criticising. But if they knew the details, there’s no way they would have thought the way they are thinking.”
He added, “people are discussing the duration our mother should spend in prison, but God hasn’t decreed it. We know God has power, and just as it occurred with earlier prophets, it can happen in our time too. Joseph was taken out of prison to become a prime minister.”
Prophet Asiamah encouraged supporters of his family to fast and pray for victory, saying, “if fasting is what you can do, do it and pray till victory comes. Whatever you’re going through will turn out to be a testimony for you.”
He emphasised that physical challenges don’t define spiritual strength, saying, “many things can happen to us physically, but spiritually, we’ll rise whether we’re sent to prison, hospitalised, or face any other challenge. This will ultimately turn out to be a testimony.”
Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, a former traditional priestess turned evangelist, has been sentenced to 15 years imprisonment by the Accra Circuit Court.
The sentence follows her conviction for charlatanic advertisement and obtaining money by false pretenses.
Nana Agradaa was found guilty of deceiving victims during a televised broadcast in 2022, where she falsely claimed to have spiritual powers capable of doubling money.
Many individuals were persuaded to part with large sums, hoping for miraculous financial returns that never came.
Prior to the sentencing, the court ordered a mandatory pregnancy test, which confirmed she was not pregnant, allowing the sentencing to proceed without delay.
The verdict has generated widespread public reaction, with many praising the ruling as a strong stand for justice and a clear warning to those involved in similar scams.
The court’s decision has also been seen by many as a victory in the fight against fraudulent spiritual schemes and dishonest religious practices.
