A statement released by management of Lil Win, Weezy Empire said the premiere which was early scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 1 has been postponed in memory of the three-year-old boy who lost his life.

Weezy Empire added that the decision was taken to allow them “join the family in mourning their loss.”

The statement said a new date will later be communicated for patrons who have purchased their tickets for the premiere. Tickets purchased still remain valid and can be used for the new date which will be communicated later.

Weezy Empire further wished a speedy recovery to the father of the deceased who is currently injured with a fractured leg and apologised for “any unintended distress” caused by their earlier statement which was deemed “insensitive” to the bereaved family.
