A registration centre in the Cape Coast North constituency of the Central Region was rocked with confusion Thursday morning leading to the firing of gunshots.

Reports indicate some men guarding the Cape Coast North NPP parliamentary candidate, Horace Ekow Ewusi, fired some gunshots when some agents of the NDC protested the registration of some people who were not from the constituency.

Onua News’ Nana Yaw Asare reports that the people in contention were allegedly bused to the constituency by the NPP from Moree in the Abura Asebu Kwamankese constituency.

The move which was resisted by agents of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) brought confusion leading to the firing of the gunshots.

The NDC constituency Youth Organizer, Godfred Onso Nyameye’s phone, was allegedly seized during the altercation, leading to the degeneration of the situation.

Mr. Ewusi was dragged into his car and driven away after a group of people chased him from the registration centre.
