President John Dramani Mahama is delivering his maiden State of the Nation Address (SoNA) in his second term of presidency.

This is his first address to the nation after assuming office for his second term.

The address to the 9th Parliament will is expected to focus on his “Resetting Ghana” agenda through the reduction of unemployment with the implementation of a 24-hour economy is expected to set the tone towards job creation, economic revival and fiscal stability to kick off.

Present in the chamber, aside from the Members of Parliament and some members of the public are former President John Agyekum Kufuor, former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings.

Also present in the chamber include the Vice President, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, the Chief Justice, Gertrude Araba Esaaba Torkornu, leadership of both the NPP and NDC and host of other dignitaries including chiefs, kings and queen mothers, as well as the clergy.
