Johnson Asiedu Nketia, National Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has said that John Dramani Mahama, flag bearer of their party, possesses all the qualities needed in a leader.
He says Ghanaians are not going to elect a Bishop or Imam come December, but rather, a leader who possesses the vision to take Ghana out of the challenges it is facing.
Speaking at the launch of the NDC’s 2024 campaign in Tamale, the Northern regional capital, on the theme; Change to reset Ghana, General Mosquito, as he is known in the political circles, indicated that Ghana needs a truthful and trustworthy leader.
He admonished Ghanaians to consider the attributes of the choices before them and chose someone who is not a liar.
“We are not going to look for a bishop, an Imam. We have those people already. What we are going to look for is a leader who is truthful, who is trustworthy, who has vision who can lead this country out of the quagmire we are facing and that leader is President John Dramani Mahama.
“Those who own Quran, go and read the Quran. If you are looking for an Imam, the first thing you look for is a truthful person. No religion will accept a liar as their leader. Whether you are Muslim, Christian, Hindu, Budhist or Traditional African Religion so look at the attributes of the choices you’re facing and decide.
“We in the NDC believe that President John Dramani Mahama satisfies all the criteria for leadership whether he is found in the religious or political circles,” Asiedu Nketia indicated.
