Chairman of the NDC Youth Manifesto Committee, Julian Mawuse Cobbinah, has been appointed Chairperson of the Governing Board of the National Youth Authority (NYA).

His appointment follows his key role in drafting the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) Youth Manifesto as Chairman of the committee.

Mr Cobbinah, with his experience in youth leadership, having served as President of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) in the 2016/2017 academic year, brings a wealth of experience to the NYA Governing Board.

In a social media post following his appointment, Mr Cobbinah expressed gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for the trust reposed in him.

He also thanked the Minister of Youth Development and Empowerment, George Opare Addo, for his support. Julian Cobbinah expressed optimism about transforming the youth front with the help of the Chief Executive of the NYA, Osman Ayariga.
