Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has established why John Dramani Mahama of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) does not deserve another opportunity to serve Ghanaians as President.

He says Mahama had his chance and blew it up, and it was time Ghanaians chose a new leader who represents the future.

According to the flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), he has what it takes to take the country to the next chapter of digitalisation to keep Ghana at par with other countries in the world.

Speaking to a gathering of party supporters in the Northern region as part of his tour to the area Thursday, November 21, 2024, Dr. Bawumia indicated that the achievements of the NPP government far outweighs that of the NDC, establishing that as the need to vote for his party.

He says at the time Mahama was President, Ghanaian teachers could not get chalk to teach in schools, unlike their era where tablets are being distributed to school children from Kindergarten to Senior High School.

Bawumia stated that the distribution will reach every child of the country, including teachers who are also being provided laptops to facilitate their work.

He noted that the two instances spell the differences between the two different administration with one being a representation of the past and the other which focuses on a modernised future, especially in the education sector.

Bawumia urged the gathering to choose between a forward-thinking leadership and another which failed to provide supplies to school children to enhance their studies when they get to the polls in December.

“This election is about who can deliver the transformation Ghana needs, and I am confident that I am the better choice for the future of our country.”

“In his time, there was no chalk in schools. We are buying tablets for school children. Every child will get one. No one will be left out. We are even buying laptops for teachers. We are buying it for teachers from Kindergarten to SHS,” he assured.
