The President, John Dramani Mahama, will be delivering his first State of the Nation Address (SoNA) today, Thursday, February 27, 2025, as he begins his second tenure of office.

With his second coming hinged on the reset agenda, Ghanaians are expecting the President to set the tone towards job creation, economic revival and fiscal stability to kick off.

He is also expected to talk about the rising inflation in the country amid the unemployment rate which has skyrocketed in the past eight years, with thousands of people being pushed to the poverty level by the previous administration.

His economic revival will be highly hinged on his most touted campaign policy ahead of the elections, –24-hour economy, –to help avert the rising unemployment in the country.

The policy, when implemented, is expected to take centre stage as a game-changing initiative to drive industrial growth, boost productivity, and create sustainable employment opportunities.

Meanwhile, the Trades Union Congress (TUC), civil society groups, business moguls and other stakeholders have presented their expectations to the President ahead of the address.
