President John Dramani Mahama has made his first three ministerial appointments subject for parliamentary vetting and approval to assume office.
The list comprises current Majority Leader and Member of Parliament for Ajumako Enyan Essiam, Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson, John Abdulai Jinapor, Yapei Kusawgu lawmaker and Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayini, a former Deputy Minister and MP, all grabbing key positions.
A statement issued by the presidency on Thursday, January 09, 2025, said, President Mahama has submitted the ministerial nominations to the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, in accordance with Article 78 of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana.
1. Hon. Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson — Minister for Finance Designate
2. Hon. John Abdulai Jinapor — Minister for Energy Designate
3. Hon. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine — Attorney-General and Minister for Justice Designate
