President John Dramani Mahama has asked the Deputy Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Malik Basintale, to act as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA).

Mr. Basintale confirmed the appointment on his social media handles where he expressed gratitude to the President for the opportunity to serve.

“Thank you, Mr President, John D. Mahama. We shall not fail you and the youth of Ghana!” he stated.

The Youth Employment Agency plays a pivotal role in addressing unemployment among Ghanaian youth by creating job opportunities and providing skills development programmes.

Basintale’s appointment aligns with the government’s vision to revitalise the YEA to fulfil its mandate of empowering the youth.
