The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has undertaken a significant restructuring process with a massive shake-up of its Programme Managers and Deputy Directors.
13 Programme Managers and District Directors, including Dr. Kezia Malm, the National Malaria Elimination Programme, Dr. Kwame Amponsa Achiano, EPI manager, Dr. Ayisi Addo of the Aids control program, among many others, has all been re-assigned effect from May 19.
A letter to all Divisional Directors and Regional Directors and signed by the Acting Director-General, Prof. Samuel Kaba Akoriyea, noted that the re-assignment is part of a national strategy to strengthen the health system.
