Ghanaian and West Ham United midfielder Mohammed Kudus has missed out on the 2024 FIFA Puskás Award after placing fifth in votes.
Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho’s overhead kick for the Red Devils against Everton at the Goodison Park was adjudged the best goal for 2024.
The award was announced on Tuesday, December 17 at the Best FIFA Awards.
Kudus’ solo run at the London Stadium on 14 March to score against the German side was one of 11 goals nominated for the award. That goal against Freiburg in the Europa League was adjudged the Goal of the Season by West Ham United.

However, it missed out to Garnacho’s strike.
Second came Yassine Benzia’s goal scored by the Algerian in their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations against South Africa.
Third was Ugandan Denis Omedi’s Rabona goal scored in the domestic game between KCCA and Kitara FC.
