Artiste manager and entertainment pundit, Bullgod has disclosed that his legal team is working to ensure that Shatta Wale settles the legal fees of GH₵10, 000.

In November 2022, Shatta Wale publicly accused Bullgod of being involved in the murder of Fennec Okyere, the late manager of Kwaw Kese.

Following the allegations, Bullgod’s legal team filed a defamation lawsuit at the Accra High Court, arguing that Shatta Wale’s statements were not only damaging but also highly inappropriate, given that the case was still under investigation.

Seeking legal redress, Bullgod requested a court declaration that Shatta Wale’s remarks were defamatory and malicious.

However, interventions from persons in the industry led to an out of court settlement. As part of the agreement, Shatta Wale was to settle the legal fees of GH₵10, 000 for Bullgod and issued a formal apology.

Three years on, Shatta Wale on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 issued an official apology to Bullgod, his former manager.

Reacting to the apology from Shatta Wale, Bullgod expressed gratitude to his legal team for an amicable solution of the matter.

Responding to whether the legal fees has yet been settled, Bullgod noted that his legal team are working to receive the payment from Shatta Wale.

“The original suit was a million Ghana cedis. When Shatta’s legal team came to say that they want to settle this out of court, I said I was looking for an apology and settlement of legal fees.

“So the money involved in this matter was for my legal fees because you will not defame me for me to go and pay my own legal fees. If I am taking it out of court, at least the decent thing to do is to pay the legal fees which is supposed to be GHC100,000 that will go to my lawyers,” Bullgod stated in an interview on JoyNews, May 2, 2025.

“My legal team is working that out. The legal team is on it and I’m sure they will sort that out,” he responded when asked if the legal cost has yet been settled by Shatta Wale.
