Renowned Ghanaian actress has opened up about her distressful life story while growing up as a child.

Narrating her life ordeal on The Ladies Circle over the weekend, Nikki Samonas said life became unbearable after her rich father died at her tender age, 10 years old.

Nikki clarified that contrary to the assumption that she’s from a wealthy family, she’s been through hardship and torturous moments in life after her father passed away.

According to the actress, her father’s death caused her to “hop from home tome” just to survive. She said her life’s struggles and hardship never permitted her to dream of living in the limelight.

However, she noted that her past life experiences have taught her much which she intends to pen down in a memoir very soon.

“Fortunately for me, I did have a very rich father, he died when I was ten so life took a turn. When he died, it was rough. I was hoping from home to home and most people don’t know that. Very soon I will write a book.

“I never ever thought, felt, fathomed, dreamed that I would end up in the limelight,” she stated.

Opening up about her dream as a young child, Nikki said she had always wanted to work as a UN Ambassador for refugees.

Fortunately for Nikki, her dream has been fulfilled as she was appointed National Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in 2020.

“For me, I wanted to work with the UN. That’s the one thing I wanted to do that I have actually seen come to life as the Global UN Ambassador for Refugees. I felt that I am half-caste, I wanted to learn languages and work with the United Nations and eventually it has happened,” she added.
