President of the PRO-FORUM, a pro NDC group made up of professionals, Ambassador Sam Pee Yalley has said it would be prudent for the opposition National Democratic Congress, (NDC) to come into a consensus and announce former President John Dramani Mahama as the 2024 flagbearer of the party.
He believes John Mahama is currently, the most marketable candidate and the best choice to secure victory for the NDC in 2024.

“There is no need for any congress to elect a flagbearer for the NDC; the deafening cheers from the thousands of delegates for John Mahama at the just ended congress was enough to declare him the next flagbearer of our party,” he told William Evans-Nkum.
The former Ghana’s High Commissioner to India stressed “we the members of Pro-Forum supports a declaration that John Dramani Mahama is the flagbearer of NDC; there is nothing undemocratic about this. Infact, democracy also allows consensus,” he said.
The NDC Professionals Forum (NDC-PROFORUM) is an incorporated centre left Professionals and Civil Society Organisation that serves as a vehicle for mobilising various categories of top notch professionals in Ghana and in the Diaspora to support the National Democratic Congress.
The NDC Proforum was incorporated as a company limited by guarantee on March 6, 2018.
During the 10th National Delegates Congress of the NDC, the group was officially recognised as an affiliate of the NDC.
