Two prominent party financiers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Upper West Region, have donated 35 brand-new motorbikes to support the party’s grassroots mobilization ahead of the upcoming December elections.
The donation, made by Alhaji Issah Saeed and his anonymous brother, both long-time supporters of the NDC, is intended to enhance the party’s ability to reach rural communities and mobilize supporters across the region to ensure the party achieve its operation 11-over-11.
Speaking at a short ceremony to hand over the motorbikes, on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the forecourt of the Regional Chairman’s private office, Alhaji Issah Saeed emphasized the importance of empowering party activists and agents to effectively propagate the NDC’s message.
“We are presenting 35 motorbikes to our able Regional chairman and his executives, worth almost One million cedis. We know it will have a positive impact on the NDC”, he stated.
The 35 brand new KAPA C.G 125 motorbikes, worth almost One Million cedis, come with DVLA registered number plates and are expected to be distributed among the target group.
On his part, Abudl-Nasir Saani, the Upper West Regional Chairman of the NDC, while expressing gratitude to Alhaji Issah Saeed and his brother for the kind gesture, added that he was confident that the motorbikes will play a crucial role in the campaign, enabling them to connect with voters and ultimately secure victory.
“Let me, on behalf of the Regional Executives Committee, thank you and your brother for your timely intervention. These motorbikes will go a long way to support the region. We promised you and your brother that the agenda 11/11, Insha Allah, Upper West Region will give it to John Mahama,” Chairman assured.
The NDC has been intensifying its campaign efforts in recent weeks, with party leaders and candidates crisscrossing the Region to engage with voters.
This donation is seen as a significant morale booster for party activists and is expected to enhance the NDC’s mobilization efforts.
