Leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has written to the Electoral Commission (EC) to call for an emergency Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting following some developments at the Commission’s outfit.

The NDC says it has learnt that there is shortage of Biometric Verification Devices (BVDs) at the EC, together with a component of Biometric Verification Registration kits made up of five (5) laptops that are missing.

A statement issued by the party and signed by its General Secretary, Franklin Fiifi Fiavi Kwetey on March 27, 2024, indicated that members and sympathisers of the party are worried since the development has the potency of compromising the integrity of the December 07 polls.

The NDC says the EC was supposed to call for an IPAC meeting on March 27 but do not understand why the meeting didn’t come off. It is therefore calling on the Commission to organise the emergency meeting to allay the fears of stakeholders on the missing equipment.
