Afrifa Yamoah Ponkoh, a former Chief Executive of the Ejisu Juaben Municipal Assembly under the erstwhile Mahama administration has passed on.
The news of his demise was reported Sunday afternoon, October 06, 2024.
The news of his death broke on Sunday afternoon, October 6. Although the exact cause of death remains unclear, close sources revealed that Mr Ponkoh had been unwell for several weeks before his passing.
Afrifah Yamoah Ponkoh was a key figure in the National Democratic Congress (NDC),and served in various capacities, including the Chief Executive of Ejisu.
Reports indicate Mr. Ponkoh was admitted at the Living Waters Hospital in Kumasi last week and got discharged, where he later died at his residence.
The National Communications Officer of the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi, taking to his Facebook mourned with the family and expressed his heartfelt condolences to them.
Mr. Gyamfi’s message reflected the shared grief of many who knew Mr Ponkoh and appreciated his contributions to the party and the nation.
