The newly-elected chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), John Kofi Ansah, has promised to bring all perceived factions within the football fraternity in Ghana together.

He said he will ensure that he leads the new Executive Council (ExCo) to be a “total unifier among the rank and file of football people”.

John Kofi Ansah, who served as the Vice Chairman in the last administration, was speaking on Onua TV

‘s Agoro Fie a few hours after he was elected for a four-year term.

He polled a total of 96 votes in Thursday’s elections to beat challenger Isaac Koomson to the top position.

He admitted that funding was a major cause of the many uncompleted projects for the previous administration but at least about 65 percent were completed.

As a result, he noted, a lot of effort will go into completing these projects given the fact that most of the ExCo members of the previous administration were retained.

Aside that, he pointed out, the new executives will embark on some educational programmes.

“The last is that we want to be a total unifier among the rank and file of football people,” he answered when asked about their plans.

He also hinted at consulting outgoing Chairman Cudjoe Fianoo for advice if he needs any from him.
