The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Kwabre East, Joseph Amankwah, has reiterated his commitment to improving sanitation and revenue collection in the municipality.
He said the key areas of focus of his administration would be on sanitation, revenue mobilisation, development and infrastructure, and appealed for collaboration and teamwork among the staff of the assembly.
Speaking on Ghanakoma morning show on Akoma 87.9fm in Kumasi with Sir John on May 20, Amankwa, called for support of all to ensure sure effective development in Kwabre East Municipality.
The interview on Ghanakoma was to ascertain the state of the administration of one of the most vibrant areas in the Ashanti Region. He stressed the need for new ideas to make the municipality one of the cleanest in Ashanti Region and beyond.

The MCE was dismayed by the poor sanitation in the municipality and appealed to the Municipal Environmental Health Officials, to come up with innovative solutions to address the issue.
He also raised concerns about low Internally Generated Revenue (IGF), which the finance officer attributed to lack of incentives and motivation for revenue collectors.
Mr Amankwah assured the staff of the assembly that the office space constraints would be addressed. The MCE also encouraged staff to bring forward ideas for improving productivity and sustainable development in the municipality.
He said he would also ensure that the youth of the area benefit from the national apprenticeship initiative recently launched by President Mahama to enhance more employment opportunities for the constituents.
He was grateful to President Mahama and the traditional rulers in the area as well as leadership of the NDC in Ashanti Region, Kwabre East constituency and the national.
He assured them that, he will not disappoint them.
