Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama has assured members of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) that the next NDC government will will work hand-in-hand with them to ensure maximum benefit of the sector.

“The production sector in particular will be equipped with the necessary raw materials to ease costs of production and ensure all year round availability of goods for consumption.”

The NDC flag bearer was speaking at a meeting in Accra with the members of the AGI.

He said he is aware some of the industries are producing below their capacity due to non-availability of raw materials, access to credit, high utility tariffs, access to market among others.

These challenges, according to Mr Mahama, will be addressed under the implementation of the 24-hour economy.

The former President also indicated that his next administration will ensure that all regions across the country will have a competitive advantage of their production capacities, adding that regional industrial hubs will be created.
