In a bid to enhance quality healthcare and nutrition services, the Municipal Chief Executive of Amenfi East, Raymond Nana Ebbah, and the Obaatanpa Foundation have provided a significant boost to school feeding programs in the Wassa Amenfi East Municipality.
They donated 3,000 crates of eggs to 64 basic schools, with a further 500 crates allocated to the municipality’s sole senior high school Amenfiman Senior High School.
This initiative is part of their “Feed the School and Community Initiatives” program, aimed at providing nutritional support to students in the Wassa Amenfi East Municipality.

According to Angelina Ehema Ebbah, leader of the Obaatanpa Project, the initiative’s goal is to teach kids about the benefits of eggs and healthy food, and how eggs can support their growth and development.

The Headmaster of Amenfiman Senior High School, Mr. Isaac Kwasi Mickelson, expressed his gratitude to Obaatanpa and her team, stating that “The donation of eggs will serve as a valuable supplement to our school feeding program, alleviating some of the financial burden on our students. We’re truly thankful for this thoughtful contribution.” He said.
Meanwhile, Serwaa Akoto, a midwife at Wassa Akropong Government Hospital, who received 100 crates of eggs on behalf of the hospital, also expressed her gratitude, saying “Eggs are a nutritious food that offers numerous benefits, particularly for children. They support eye health and improve memory retention. Given their low-fat content, eggs are an excellent protein source for those looking to maintain a healthy weight.
I urge everyone who has benefited from this egg donation to understand the importance of incorporating eggs into their diet. Let’s make egg consumption a priority – it’s a simple yet impactful habit that can have long-term benefits for our health.” Serwaa Akoto mentioned.
