The Ga Mantsɛ, Nii Teiko Tsuru II has called for unity among chiefs in the Ga State to facilitate development.

He said it is only through unity and oneness of purpose that the Ga State can assume its rightful status in Ghana.

“Where are the chiefs of La, Nungua, Teshie, Osu and others? You heard what the Asantehene said. Unity. We must all have one interest- the people of Ga State,” he said.

Nii Teiko Tsuru II said this at a grand durbar in honour of the Asantehene Osei Tutu II in Accra on June 9, 2024.

The durbar forms part of activities marking a historic visit by the King of Ashanti in recent history, the first one having taken place in 1946.

Addressing the durbar, the King of Ashanti used the occasion to call for unity among the peoples of the two kingdoms as well as among all chiefs in the country.

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II also called on all chiefs in the Ga State to support Nii Teiko Tsuru to enable him to develop the Ga State.

He donated an amount of GHC500,000.00 towards the Ga Education Fund.

The Ga Mantse therefore urged the Ga chiefs to heed to the advice offered by the Asantehene so that together, they can develop the Ga State.

Nii Ga also used to opportunity to call for peace in the country as the December 7 presidential and parliamentary elections draw closer.

“Ghana should be the winner,” he said.

He prayed for God’s blessings for the Asantehene and expressed appreciation for the donation to support the education of less-privileged Ga children.

“We are one people,” the Ga Mantsɛ stated.
