A number of the aspirants contesting various executive positions in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Eastern region, have successfully completed the vetting process ahead of the party’s elections scheduled for October 15, 2026, at Asamankese.
The Regional elections, which will be held across various regions, forms part of the party’s internal democratic process to elect executives who will lead and strengthen its structures at the grassroots level.
The vetting exercise for the Eastern Regional NPP party was conducted at the Koforidua party regional office where the aspiring candidates were assessed and cleared to participate in the upcoming NPP election.
Twenty-Seven (27) aspirants successfully went through the vetting process. The completion of the vetting marks a significant milestone in the preparations towards the Eastern Regional election, as candidates now focus on the final stages leading to the polls.
The October 15, 2026, elections are expected to provide party members with the opportunity to elect committed and dedicated leaders who will promote unity, improve party organisation, and strengthen grassroots mobilisation.
The regional NPP election demonstrates its commitment to internal democracy as it prepares to elect executives who will provide effective leadership and direction for the party’s future activities.
