National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, has likened comments made by Agric Minister, Bryan Acheampong, regarding the 2024 elections as one befitting of a serial caller.
The Abetifi Member of Parliament and Minister of Food and Agriculture, Bryan Acheampong, has repeated that the governing New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) will win the December elections at all costs.
Whilst addressing a charged crowd at a campaign rally of the NPP at Nsawam in the Eastern Region, Mr. Acheampong said the NDC was never going to win the elections.
The politician cum businessman noted that the NPP is an election winning machine and winning the upcoming polls is a must.
“I have said that whether the NDC likes it not, they will never win the 2024 elections. They would not win. You can check their records. They would not win. The NPP would win the elections. The NPP exists to win elections,” he told the charged crowd.
The Minister who was recently under fire for his intention to purchase some four hotels belonging to the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) shared that the NPP was going to employ the services of pastors, imams and traditionalists in its fold to secure victory in the upcoming polls.
“So, we would do whatever it takes to win the elections. We are a political party that has pastors, imams, and traditionalists so whatever means we would take to win the elections, we would do so. ‘Burn the sea if you don’t understand, we’ll win and continue with our good works,” he noted.
Reacting to the issue on Onua TV’s morning show, Maakye, Monday, August 12, 2024, that Bryan Acheampong’s comments would not be made by even serial callers.
“The NPP serial callers will not even speak like that. He didn’t speak as an Agric Minister. It is God who chooses a king. If God chooses John Mahama as President, nobody can do anything about it,” he stated.
Sammy Gyamfi added that “it will never happen that people will vote for John Mahama and the votes will be counted for another person.”
He added that Bryan Acheampong “is a coward because it is a coward that is fond of issuing threats.”
