Ghana Premier League side Nsoatreman FC booked a place in the final of the MTN FA Cup after beating fellow league side Legon Cities 2-1 on Saturday.

The game, played at the WAFA Park in Sogakope in the Volta Region, was the first semi-final game of this year’s competition.

Nsoatreman had beaten Karela United, who eliminated Asante Kotoko, by a lone goal at home to make it to the semi-finals.

Legon Cities, on the other hand, had seen off Bechem United by a similar scoreline to reach the penultimate stage.

However, it was the Bono Region side that opened the scoring 10 minutes before the break.

Foster Apetorgbor scored to give his side the lead.

Three minutes later, Mohammed Abdul Rahaman doubled the lead to give Nsoatreman FC the needed advantage going into the break.

Legon Cities came out all gun-blazing in the second half but could only pull one back through Williams Kwaku Adjei.

It ended 2-1.

Nsoatreman will face the winner of the Dreams FC-Bofoakwa Tano game, scheduled for Sunday, May 12, in the final.
