The President of Nsoatreman FC, Ignatius Baffour Awuah, and one other suspect arrested on Monday, February 3 following the stabbing to death of an Asante Kotoko fan have been granted bail.
The former Sunyani West Member of Parliament and Joseph Kyeremeh were granted bail by a Sunyani District Court presided over by His Worship Moses Daning.
They were charged with abettment to commit crimes, to wit murder contrary to Section 20(1) and 46 of the Criminal Offences Act of 1969, Act 29.
Their bail was granted at GH¢500,000 each with two sureties, one to be justified.
They are also expected to deposit their passports with the registry of the court and are enjoined to seek its permission before travelling out of the Sunyani municipality.
They are to reappear on Monday, February 17.
The third suspect, Agyemang Duah Owusu, who is said to be a police officer, was charged with murder and remanded into custody.
In his room upon a search after his arrest were found some two dresses with bloodstains and a pistol.
He is also to reappear on Monday, February 17.
The three are facing charges for the death of ardent Kotoko fan Francis Yaw Frimpong, popularly known as Nana Pooley.
He lost his life after being stabbed near the Prof Amoah Koramansah II Park on Sunday.
