The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has officially advertised former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta as a wanted person on its official Facebook page on Monday, February 17, 2025.
This follows the Special Prosecutor’s press conference last week, where he publicly declared Ofori-Atta a fugitive of justice.
According to the OSP, the former minister is wanted in connection with several financial irregularities, including:
- Strategic Mobilisation-GRA Contract
- Termination of ECG-BXC contract
- National Cathedral payments
- Ambulance procurement contract
- Tax Refund Account utilisation
The public notice contains a photograph of Ofori-Atta, his personal details, and a call for information on his whereabouts.
The OSP listed the United States (USA) and the United Kingdom (UK) as his possible locations.
The OSP has urged the public to report any information regarding Ofori-Atta’s location by calling or sending a WhatsApp message to 0554494499 or 0554484488.
This latest action by the OSP signals an intensified effort to bring the former minister before the law, following his alleged failure to cooperate with investigations.
Meanwhile, the OSP has reiterated that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
